My Reuters Portfolio

Upon viewing what passes as good photography on Reuters (http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3286966,00.html) I have decided not to let my talents go to waste. A career in international freelance photography is something I have always dreamed of. This is as good of a time as ever to seize my opportunity. So here it goes!

Lebanese man protests Israeli air strikes

Israeli soldier takes a smoking break near the Israel/Lebanon Border

Lebanese man regains consciousness after Israeli shell strikes vehicle

Israeli robot levels district in Lebanon

Lebanese family flee Lebanon due to Israeli air strikes

Hey, you're pretty good with that thing! Maybe the photog should hire you as "processor." Enhanced News Photography is nothing new. We've seen it before and we'll see it again. I know a couple of 12 year old kids who photoshop rings around these embellished pictures. I guess the average citizen is too dumb to realize they're looking at a phony photo--- is that it? Why even bother dressing up a picture if you're going to do it so crudely? Why not take a sabbatical and immerse yourself in image manipulation software for a year or two and THEN come back and doctor the pix!
